Iconic City Prints Collection
Our new Iconic City Prints Collection is finally available at the Winter Museo web shop. Many of you have been sending us messages over social media and email asking when we will release this collection. The wait is now over!
Before you decide which of our iconic city prints is the optimum choice for you, read ahead to learn more about the collection. The artist behind this new collection of city wall art is my good friend, Remitri Roggio. I am sure you will agree that he did a great job of representing these select cities in his unique art style. Why did we decide to make posters of cities around the world?
I have always enjoyed traveling, visiting new places and meeting the people of other cultures. During my life I have visited cities all around the world and fallen in love with many of them. I developed a habit of buying some piece of art from every city I visited. Often that included city posters. So, when I decided to start this shop, I knew that I would also turn my passion for collecting city poster art into a collection I could share with others.
That is how our collection of international posters featuring cities around the world was born. It was tough deciding which 12 cities to include in the first collection, but in the end we chose those which have some sentimental value to me or which I felt were really fascinating. We can’t go over all of them in this post, so here is some insight into 6 of our favorites.
Wall Art Dubai Poster
First on this list is the Dubai wall art poster. It shows an artistic rendition of this great futuristic city. Stunning skyscrapers rise above the desert with the mighty Burj Khalifa in the center. This is the image that most comes to mind when you imagine Dubai. It truly feels like you’ve come to a city on another planet.
I spent several years of my life living and working in Dubai. This was where I created some of my most memorable work. As such it has a special place among all the cities I’ve visited, and I needed to include it in this collection. This Dubai poster will be perfect for anyone who is fascinated by this unique, one-of-a-kind city.
Hong Kong Travel Poster
Hong Kong, the Pearl of the Orient, has always been a city that captured the imagination of people from all over the world. Its unique location, an interesting mix of cultures, and historical significance have attracted many visitors. That is why it was my wish to include a Hong Kong travel poster in my iconic cities collection.
This Hong Kong poster depicts the city’s famed look, which features tall buildings located between tall green hills and the blue sea. The Tian Tan Buddha is featured in the foreground of the poster. This famous bronze statue was made in 1993 and symbolizes the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and faith.
This Hong Kong wall art is perfect for anyone who has dreams of visiting this wonderful city.
London Poster
London, one of the most famous cities in the world, should be on everyone’s must-visit list. This great city was once the center of a globe-spanning empire that spread its language to every corner of the world. It was one of the first true “capitals of the world” and influences from many cultures can be seen there. We had to include London in our collection.
Following the style of many vintage London posters, this one features some of its most famous icons. In the center, you see one of London’s famous red telephone booths. In the background, the Big Ben and the London Eye rise above the river Themes. Whether you enjoy London because of its historical and cultural value, or because of the many tv shows and movies set there, this London poster print will be a perfect addition to your home.
New York Wall Art Prints
New York, the Big Apple, is also one of the most iconic cities in the world, and one that had its spot in our collection from the start. During my travels, I have collected many New York prints and posters and I am happy to share with you a new one available only on my website.
As you might have guessed, this poster depicts a number of New York’s most famous features. The tightly packed streets with tall buildings all around, and its most famous landmark, the Statue of Liberty. This NYC poster is a must-have for any fan of this great city!
Tokyo Poster Print
Tokyo, the world’s biggest metropolis, is one of the cities I find most fascinating. There are so many things about it which I love. The efficient public transport system, interesting buildings, and best of all, an innumerable number of restaurants and street food vendors. No wonder that Tokyo has the most Michelin-starred locations in the world, with 226 Michelin starred restaurants.
This Tokyo canvas art print features some of the city’s greatest icons. Two of these are Rainbow Bridge which goes over Tokyo Bay, and the red-white Tokyo Tower. In the background, you can see the mighty Mount Fuji, the most beautiful mountain in the world in my opinion. This poster feels like a Tokyo painting rather than a classic print.
Philadelphia Wall Art
Finally, we have Philadelphia, my hometown. As such, it was a no-brainer to include it in my list of iconic city prints. I already own many great Philadelphia prints but the idea of having a unique one in my store was always part of my vision.
On the art print itself, you can see the famed Philly skyline along with the big letters that make up the word “LOVE”. As I am sure most of you know, Philadelphia is known as the city of brotherly love. I am sure you will love this unique and affordable Philadelphia art print.
